WELCOME!
Living in Flux is a health and wellness website for trust-worthy recipes of everyday baked goods that are easy, delicious, and will nourish you from the inside out.
Though I’m endlessly curious about all types of food and everything health and well-being, I have a major sweet tooth! As a kid, I loved baking and sharing those creations with friends and family. As I got older, I really struggled with weight gain, which led to disordered and restricted eating entering high school years.
Food seemed to consume every aspect of my life and the constant obsessing created a disconnect from my body that felt extremely unsettling. Inconsistent menstrual cycles, bouts of depression, anxiety and panic attacks became part of everyday life, including my personal identity.
After years of symptoms and dozens of trips to the doctors, I was officially diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome in early 2014. I began learning how to heal myself from the inside out by making slow and sustainable transitions to eat more whole foods, manage stress, improve sleep, balance blood sugar, find an activity routine that felt good, build strength, and improved metabolic flexibility.
Eventually, I was able to heal my relationship with food and discovered my love for nutrition and nourishment. After a lot of trial and error and years of education, I finally made it my mission to help others on a similar journey.
I believe that food is one of life’s greatest pleasures and that this body each of us has is an absolute gift. You deserve to feel safe at home in this one body you have, while also thriving without having to sacrifice the things you love.
Living in Flux is a place to fully embrace the changes in our lives, to create sustainable lifestyles that light us up on the inside, and for simple and healthy recipes that are designed to taste as good as they make you feel. I’m so grateful you’re here!
